has linked with

The Community Foundation
of Durham Region

to establish the
Professional Engineers of Ontario - Lake Ontario Chapter Endowment Fund.

The purpose of the Fund is to:

• support charities in the Chapter’s area,
• provide recognition of the recipient of the David F. Knudsen P. Eng. (Memorial) Award in the Engineering Category of the Durham Region Science Fair, and
• provide a scholarship for high school students pursuing an engineering education.

While the main source of monies for the Fund is the proceeds from the Chapter’s annual golf tournament, the Fund is open to all professional engineers who wish to offer financial support.

All donations to the Fund are charitable and a tax receipt will be issued through The Community Foundation of Durham Region.

Members can make cash donations, stock transfers or give through life insurance policies and bequests. All donations are held in perpetuity to ensure long-term support for the Chapter’s initiatives with only the accrued interest being used for donations and awards. Lake Ontario Chapter will endeavor to honor any requests from members as to which local charitable causes are supported, donations or awards in the name of loved ones, etc.
